I know it is hard to stop them, but it is a little risky letting them chase and catch wild animals like mice, rats, squirrels, etc..... They carry all sorts of disease, lice, fleas and other parasites (like worms!). Deer mice can also be vectors of Lyme disease and Hanta virus. They may go through several with no problems but if they run across one that is infected or infested, it could be nasty business! I would do my best to keep them from this pasttime, even though I know that was the reason they were bred in the first place.
