Silk is preferred and not rare at all and I agree Mary structure and health should be more important than color and coat.
I see soft coated yorkies in the ring all the time LOL! I don't mind a modified silk coat it's easier to grow LOL...true silk coats take freaking forever to grow and is not as thick like a modified silk coat is. Radar has that nice fine silk coat and takes forever to grow! BUT finally his facial furnishings are getting long YAH!!
