Familiarity I know how you feel. Our pups were pretty young the first time we boarded them (it coincided with a round of shots). I felt confident the vet did a good job, and that they were well taken care of.
Next week we're going to Disneyworld (gonna be gone for a week), but this time my father's gonna stay with them here @ our house. My wife and I went back & forth about whether to board them again, or not, but we decided that since we could get someone to come stay, it's best to leave them in familiar surroundings.
I would say if you can swing it, go by your "pet sitter's" house, so they can become familiar with them + the surroundings. Is this person a good friend ? Does she sit other dogs ? It depends on your puppies, I think they get a little bummed but it sounds like you have made some good arrangements for them before you go. Try not to worry too much, have a good time on your vacation !!!! |
