I was reading this forum and thankful for all you wonderful people on here! I am going to be getting my Yorkie this Thursday she is 13 weeks old this will be my first Yorkie and I too was wondering what I would do when I have to run errands or be gone from her. I am a stay at home Mom and I have a home photography studio so I should be here most all the time but there is a couple days I will be gone running errands and taking my sons places and could be gone for around 4-7 hrs. I just hate the thought of leaving my puppy alone for very long it breaks my heart and I have'nt even gotten her yet and already worried! Any advice for a new Yorkie owner would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of getting a baby gate and shut off a long hallway for her to play in while we have to run errands and leave her some toys and water out. Most the time I'll be home though so that is a good thing. Also I'm worried my boys are 3 and 8 I know they are very excited to have our new puppy home with us but I have told them that we need to let her rest and not over stimulate her, how often should I let her go into her crate to rest I just don't want to overly excite our new puppy or wear her out too quickly. I would appreciate any advice
