The only problem with this is that you are depending on the breeder of your pup to be a knowledgeable breeder and be honest. Many breeders do not want to discuss the faults of their dogs or discuss breeding issues they have within their breeding program. Of course many hobby breeders do not even understand proper conformation, they are just breeding for pretty pet quality dogs. That is why even if you are not able to show but are interested in breeding the best yorkies possible, you should attend some shows and really get acquainted with what a proper yorkie should look like.
