My GF called me Fri asking if I would like a brother for Buddy.
A friend of her's was going to rescue a 7mo old Silky from a pet store
in the mall. She had been watching him for months and could not stand
looking at him so pathetic any longer. She was on her way to make a deal
with the manager to buy him. My GF said she would take the dog
and find it a home. She is a rescue worker and a foster mom to cat's and
dog's from time to time. Hence the call to me. I declined at this time. If and
when I do it will be a girl. Because the dog has been there for 5mos the
manager sold her the pup for $300.00 within an hour my GF had the dog
in her home. He weighed 9lbs. She said he was loving and looked just like Buddy. Got along great with her 2 standard poodles, german shepard and
3 cat's.
Here's the greatest part: She went to the local pet store to purchase a harness for him later that evening and was behind a young man with a load of pee-pee pads.
She asked him if he had a new pup and he said yes she then asked what
kind and he said a female yorkie at which she asked if he would like a brother
for her. She told him the story and he turned ashen she said. He knew the
dog . He and his wife inquired about him months before but he was too expensive. He also looks in on him hoping he got a home each time he's at the mall and his
heart stops when he sees him behind that window looking so said.
He said he spoke with a woman months earlier and she wanted him to
pay 1/2 and she would pay the other 1/2 and give the dog to him.
He didn't have the money so he declined. It was the woman who
rescued him now that he spoke too.
He said he would love the dog but didn't have the money. My GF said
he was free to the right home. She gave him her # but went home
to call her GF to verify his story and yes she remember him. He loved
the dog but did not have the money. They spoke in lenghts about
this dog that day in the pet store.
1 hr. later he was in the arms of his new mommy and daddy to live
the life he so deserves.
I just love this story.
