My 3 pound yorkie and I just moved to the beach, and we have been battling fleas. I gave him advantage 3 weeks ago, but it only helped for about a week. I am worried about giving him too many treatments, because it can irritate his skin. I have been bathing him every other day with shampoo with flea medicine, and I have been using a flea comb too, but he is still itching, and seems miserable. Tonight when I was brushing him I noticed his neck is raw... Like he has itched all the skin off. I feel horrible. How can I win the battle against the fleas? I don't want to overload him with chemicals and it is really expensive to keep buying advantage every other week. Please help. Also what should I do about the raw chest?
**Just saw the peppermint Oil post, and will try tomorrow... any other suggestions?
