I am currently crate training a new baby. She did not like going into her crate at all. So each time I put her in it I gave her a treat with lots of praise. Now she runs into her crate after we come back in the house and waits for her treat.

I also cover 3 sides and the top of her crate. This seems help calm her down and cuts down on the whinning and barking.
