Its best to have one or two pee pad locations. Having more can confuse the puppy and the association with potty will not sink in.
My pup took over one month to truly understand the pee pad. Rugs was a favorite pee location for him. I evenly removed all the rugs in the house to help eliminate the problem.
It's best to wait awhile before going to a vacation house until potty training has sinked in. Again having too many potty locations in the beginning will confuse the puppy.
