I have ramps and little stools and Ben is good about using them. Rocky (my 4 1/2 month old) is not so patient. Why use the ramp and all those tiny steps, when he can take one flying leap? I have advised others to get the ramps and stools and get their dogs to use them. Seemed easy enough with Ben and Sadie. But Rocky has a mind of his own. So, I finally understand when people have posted that their pups did not want to use steps, ramps, or stools either. I do not have an answer for the rowdy ones. I am hoping Rocky will eventually use the ramps but I worry about his little back and joints until them. He looks like he is flying from one chair to another. I have got to catch him with the camera because his front legs stretch out in front and the back ones behind so that he looks like a little flying dog (or maybe Rocky the flying Squirrel). Hilarious although I little risky.
