I agree with RoscoesMommy42. It is your life and you know if you are ready or not, and like most things, people just have to get over it. You are grown and have your own life. I would just tell your mom the things that you told us, about having money saved and a plan for future vet bills and things like that. She may disagree at first, but I would just reassure her that things are going to be fine!
