SIDS is sudden, only seconds to happen. Tragically, my little cousin died from this--she was in the same room with her parents--they noticed she was turning blue, called the ambulance and it was still too late.

It was an accident, they didn't think/know the dog would do something like this. I feel bad for the parents, they are going thru a tragic time-- imagine the guilt you would feel if you were in their shoes. You have a dog that gets along well with your other kids, you put the baby down in the nursery, thinking he's safe--all the parents on here, can you say you've never put your child in the bedroom/other room and went to make dinner, go to the bathroom, do laundry, etc??? Even if they had a monitor--that dog probably grabbed him and ran. What if the parents had been in the same room taking a nap with the baby and this happened?? Thank God they were checking on him, and found him in a timely manner. I pray that the baby will be okay and that the parents can forgive themselves for this tragic accident.
