If this could heat related, no problem, but if her behavior is not normal then I would certainly want to have some testing done to determine what is going on with her. She has a vet appointment coming up soon but I'm not sure if her lethargy, sleepiness and not being her usual playful self is hormonal or if there may be other issues going on that I should be checking into. She will be 2 year old in September. I would appreciate any advice about how long the hormonal issues last for yorkies.

Some girls sail through their heat cyles. Other's lose their brains, have extreme moodiness, sometimes taking a couple of months to snap out of it. Discuss it with your vet....I'm sure she's fine and her actions are a result of her cyle.
