You don't have to worry about jealousy. My boy was an only child for two years before I got June and he loves her to death. Still doesn't really like to share mommy, but he is used to it now.

Ours is 4 and we would definitely get another adult-- she is much too calm for a puppy... although because she has had her own litters before we had her she seems to have a "mothery" type of personality.
