i've heard of never brushing them when they are dry or dirty but why can't you comb them when they are wet?
To the OP, if you have a grooming session every day i would brush her using a good pin brush like a maden or chris christensen brush. Then i would run a comb over her to make sure you got all the tangles. I use Ice on Ice as well.
