LOL, no... Leather is just too delicious. We have the shop gated off, and he's just not allowed in there. He's become calmer as he is growing older, and now he's usually happy to nap on my chair while we work.
We're usually really careful, but last weekend he got ahold of a leather keychain we'd braided... He had actually eaten about half of it by the time I caught him. Thankfully, that's the only damage he's ever had the opportunity to do to anything we've made.

PS: Weirdo little bug-muncher that he is though, he did throw up a little puddle of neon green with bug legs floating in it a few days ago. Uggh, I really worry with all the wind scorpions we get here, on top of some of the more rare but even more dangerous spiders like black widows and brown recluse spiders. :-(
