Keep bully stix, flossies and lots of toys on hand. When you see him chewing something off limits tell him no or make a sound like "aaa" and give him something that's his. Most of it is because of teething. If your not able to watch him closeley put him where he can't get a hold of anything. They are fast and can chew something up in no time if you take your eyes off of them.
