The surgeon is Board Cert. Ortho Specialist. Its at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and I've asked how many dogs he has done especially a 2.6lb yorkie. And from 20 years experience a whole lot. I did look to find the very best and out of calling 15 Vets in the Dallas area everyone told me this place. So I seem very good about the dr.

My girl is at a Level 4 in her back right leg and a level 2 in her back left leg. but we are just going to do the right first and later this year the left. So i'm sure once i get threw this i'll be fine for the next.

He went over it with me but you know when your sitting there and he ask if you have questions your mind goes blank. He just told me she will be staying over night and i'll be able to get her saturday. So i think my mind shut off since i never left her overnight. He did tell me that i need to keep her from jumping things and i have to make sure i work with her leg on therapy every day.

But my question was how did some parents handle this surgery and things that it might be good for me to know just encase i forget something the dr. tells me. I'm sure when I pick her up the dr. will make sure i have everything i need to know but i want to know from a parent who went threw this what they think.
