I'm not an expert bit I would think it would take a good week for the itching to go away. Just keep checking her. Many years ago I had a very bad flea infestation (almost had a nervous breakdown) Put a bowl of water on the floor with a lamp on by the bowl at night. In the morning you will see if any fleas are in the bowl. They can't swim or jump out of the water and are attracted to the light. Also moth balls get rid of fleas.
