I have had a few buyers in the past that I tried to talk them into a long tail and they wanted it docked. I was kind of disappointed but I really think its only because it is what we are used to seeing. Same with a Doberman, Cocker spaniel.. it would look odd to have a big fluffy tail I guess.. If you really are set on the natural tail then I would contact a breeder to make arrangements beforehand. Unfortunately, your not going to know its personality but then again.. its a bit hard not to fall in love with them regardless of their dispositions... especially as a puppy.
