I cant say howmuch that rule buggs me. I know that the breeders want to look out for there pups, but its not fair that a puppy might not get a good home because i have kids!! my first yorkie has never been hurt and the kids love him vice versa. I have never had a problem and I always supervise them together. I want another one soooo bad but its so hard!!! i hate this!!
To me, a good home for my puppies iS one without small children. I base my rule about this on watching and raising my own grandchildren around my yorkies. Are they bad kids. NO, do they love yorkies, YES, are they tender and careful with yorkies YES, are they well behaved? YES. but I have seen way to many innocent accidents or near misses to sell to people with children very young. I am sorry you can't understand why we have that rule. I am sure you would be a good home but you are going to run into this rule with ethical breeders. As someone else said, you could get a yorkie but try to get one of the larger ones. They would be excellant for children. I have a super tiny male for sale right now and I am screening my homes very carefully because of his small size.
