I read in a yorkie book to say "no teeth" when they bite. Lucy will do this growly noise and act all tough like she's totally kicking my butt but not biting me. Then she'll give me the odd bite. As soon as I say no teeth she stops. A couple times she's gotten really worked up and I just lift her in the air or put her on her back so she knows who's boss. She's only 3.4 lbs but acts like she's 100lbs sometimes.
