Lou: I truly think you are amazing and admire you for your strength. Even though you may not feel strong - you are; because, "You took on the pain so that Ivan didn't have to anymore". You should feel better knowing: 1) you did the absolute best and selfless thing for your dog; 2) you went in there with him and that takes enormous courage and 3) Most importantly, he's in Heaven and he's happy, running and playing with all those who have gone before him.
