i don't know about the housebreaking but i do know he definitely needs to be neutered ASAP. The undescended testicle can grow and because a cancerous mass that involves or entwines the other organs. A vet i used to work with once took a cantaloupe size testicle out of a golden retriever which had large blood vessels that were constricting other more important blood vessels.
