This season we have been working on calming them down when the kids go in the pool, we make the kids stay calm while in the pool for a 1/2 hour or so, then put the dogs in the house and let the kids play. Its a hard balance to keep, the dogs need to be calmer but the kids shouldn't have their fun spoiled either by having to stay calm in the pool. I think I am the world's worst dog trainer. LOL I had my friend's 140lb Rottie eating out of my palm and laying at my feet and rolling on his back for me to pet his belly last weekend but with my own 2 monsters Im lucky to get them to do ANYTHING I ask! I don't know why. LOL Anyways, we keep working on it, on them. Hoping to get them to calm down around the pool with the kids. Dexter just wants to go IN, if someone is in the pool he wants them to pick him up and carry him around in the pool. He is now just jumping in from the side towards them if noone gets him on the edge of the pool quick enough! LOL Ive created pool monsters! I'll get more pics up soon, they are too cute!
