My boys are like that too, little kids make them nervous and when they are running my boys bark and bark. I live with them alone and bf has his kids every other weekend, guess they are still not used to the commotion of the kids. I think you are right that he did feel bad. After the incident, he stayed close to my side, he did not wag his tail the rest of the day. On the ride to drop off his kids to his ex, his son held Dex in the car and I think they mended fences. His son is 13 years old, he screamed and screamed, soooooo loud I thought he broke his arm. Then I see the bruise and he said Dexter bit him. He is REALLY dramatic ALL the time, but this time I felt so bad because even though I think his screaming was a bit much for what he had, the fact that my sweet baby actualy DID bite him shocked me!
I am also afriad if he tells his mom, what she might do. My dog bit her kid. She can be very vindictive and I don't want her to call animal control or the cops on my 5lbs dog for nipping him. I mean if she does, she does, I can't stop it. When he showed me the bite mark, I later said his mother was going to kill me for letting my dog bite him and he said he was not going to tell her. Since he did not break skin and they are utd on all their shots, I think its ok that he does not tell. But who knows.... I just hope nothing comes of it!
