We just got back from the vet..... Brody's creatine is 1.1 mg/dl and his phos is 5.9 Bun was high 38 but his Urinalysis u.sp.gr. 1.01 which is his urine concentration (good). No blood in the urine, U. Protein it says Trace . U Sediment is U RBC 0-1 and U WBC 1-2, He does have a moderate bacterial infection in his urine and he is on antibiotics for 12 days. She did see some crystalization (? sp) in the urine possible kidney stones.
My vet seems to think that his bun was elevated because he is dehydrated and not because it involves his kidneys at this point. All of his other levels were normal. She did suggest testing his bun again next month and his urine and to take it from there with a sonogram if needed. She also suggested changing his food he is on Orijen now and she said c/d Hills (because of the possibility of kidney stones.
If anyone has any suggestions (especially about the food) or opinions please let me know. As of right now I am so thankful.
