I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I know we will all have too at some point. You have had him for 16 years? How wonderful. I would say you gave him a wonderful life. He is a part of you and you can't replace him. In time you may want to give another pup some of the love you have. If not, you have been a wonderful mommy to him. God Bless you. I pray you have him for awhile longer. I have had my cat for 21 years, so I know the longer you have them, I believe the harder it will be to lose them. Just dwell on the wonderful times you have had together. That's great he was playing with his ball.
