the other thing is white potato is a good source of potassium so people with high blood pressure such as myself who is border line should eat alot of potatos and bananas as it helps lower blood pressure -but for dogs with ibd no way it will actually inflame their intestines and make them worse
i know it did for my 3 and even my healthy demi cannot tolerate it. Each dog is unique but this is one thing i definitely feel strongly should not be given to any ibd dogs. Dex could tolerate rice in the ultra z/d and many ibd dogs need hydrolized diets where the foods are broken down so the body does not have to work as hard to break them down. Izzie is doing much better on purina en now and she was relapsing quite a bit - she is also eating a little purina ha as well. Hers was vomitting as my dex so i believe hers is small intestines as well
