Don't use steel wool to plug up holes in your walls My Millie has been vomiting and has diarrhea for the past three days. I have taken her to the vet and he suggested she had eaten something that blocked her digestive system. The food she vomited was undigested after five hours. Yesterday she passed steel wool in her stool. She had been eating the steel wool that was embedded in holes in the walls. The exterminator had used them to prevent rodents from entering. I have been worried sick and she seems to be getting better. She no longer wants her solid food, she's a lot less energetic. She now wants wet food so I give it to her. The doctor wanted $500 to admit her for blood tests and xrays. I didn't have it. It could have been a lot worse. Don't use steel wool (or allow your exterminator) to plug holes with steel wool.
