you have some good advice already but here is my 2 cents:
Look for a breeder in your area, or withing driving distance from you ...
You want to make sure you see the puppies and their parents, the way the breeder handles them and if they are socialized to fit what you are looking for... which should be a very secure, curious, happy , non-shivering puppy... sweet, loving and used to be handled!
pay attention to what you see... what you see IS what you get !!! So make sure you have your eyes wide open !!!
You can ask as many questions, but nothing will ever be as good as what you can see when you visit the breeder and see them interacting with the litter !
