Vinegar locks in color. Nope it doesn't cancel it out.

Here's another hair dresser trick. Add a bit of baking powder to the shampoo.....It really cleans the hair. Another trick after shampoo and before vinegar. That is if you want to take the time. Mayonaise, work it into the coat and wrap in a warm towel. Rinse and then vinegar rinse. I sometimes rinse with vinegar first, condition and then work the Mayonaise in rinse a bit, dry and use it instead of oil, before wrapping the coat. A bit more natural and no clogging of their pores.
