When someone calls me about buying a puppy and after talking with them awhile, if I feel they would not make a good home for my puppy it can get a little awkward. Some people would get pretty mad when I would tell them I would not sell them a puppy. Each breeder has their own ideals of what type of home they want their pups to go to and I have a problem with selling pups to people that work all day or people that have small children. I am not saying I would never sell to those type of people but I talk to them a long time. If someone works but comes home at lunch or has a spouse that comes home then that is acceptable to me. If someone has small children but has had small dogs before and they are familiar with yorkies then I would be okay with selling them a pup if I feel they are a suitable home. My husband always fusses at me for asking so many questions.
