I don't know what to think. There are so many things that don't add up. I listened to the 911 call and he seemed to give a lot of gratuitous information IMO. He seemed pretty calm for a guy who just found his wife dead in the bathtub. But still, I don't know what his usual demeanor is like.
The fact that his wife was warm and dry with damp hair after just having drowned is odd; especially coupled with the fact that there was no water on Ryan, no water on the floor, towels, clothing, etc. all dry. And she was said to have a gelatinous substance around her eyes, maybe vaseline. The fact that she was dry is what prompted some jurors to conduct their own experiments at home to see how fast they dried after a shower or bath. That was a no-no and could result in a new trial.
She was, however, known for falling asleep in inappropriate places such as bars and social gatherings and her friend said she had a bad headache that night. A very interesting case. If they have a new trial, I'd like to know the outcome! |
