Milk only lets down every 2 hours. At this point your mom's milk is changing consistency and baby teeth are coming in. She should be away from the pups more and more during the day, more puppy food for pups. And pretty much left with them at night so, puppies can drain her and prevent her bosums from bursting.

Watch for poop consistency changes in pups.

I would love to leave her with them at night (believe me getting up in the middle of the night several times for the past 5 weeks has not been fun), but she doesn't want to be with them. She jumps out of the pen as soon as we walk away. I thought about getting something to put over the pen to keep her in, and am pondering on getting it today, and seeing how she does.

I don't want her to freak out, if she can't get away from them. That's why we have to put her in with them every 4 hours or so.
