Been done by a freind a few night in the kennel in the car in the garage make sure it is not hot and you do not hear him and he can not hear you and he gets over himself. He barks his fool head off and relizes that you are not coming to let him out and he is just fine. Not sure I would work it that way but when one is running on little sleep and the dog has been taught to bark his way out then it maybe the only choice.
