My Malleri (yorkie) did the same thing with my Bailey Jo (boxer)...and Bailey Jo was very tolerable of it until she would nip her and then she would just jump up and get on the couch where Malleri could not get to her at the time b/c she was still too small....and yes boxers are very tolerable pups...Mine has tolerated having a newborn in the house who has grown in to a rough housing little girl she has never once growled or nipped at Laci (skin kid) even when she was trying to ride her like a horse or pulling her ears or hitting her with toys simply b/c she was trying to show her toys to her...Bailey Jo is very protective of our family even when Laci was little I could lay her on a blanket in the middle of the floor to play with the toys that dangle down over them and Bailey Jo would lay as close to the blanket as possible but never one time did she even get a paw on that blanket...and if Laci was in her nursery snoozing and started crying Bailey Jo would run back and forth between me and the nursery until I went in and picked Laci up and told Bailey Jo that she was ok
