I have a big shampooer and the spot bot... I use the spot bot more because you can turn it on and let it clean it while your doing something else.

I do agree with the ones you can rent at the grocery store are good. When I had my tanning salon, I was in the middle of painting and accidently dumped the entire gallon of paint on the carpet.. I soaked it with water, put towels over it and ran and rented one ~ got all the paint up, just like that!
