My sister's lab also has his birthday in January, so we had a birthday party with pup cakes. It was just my brother and me (he can't resist cupcakes!), my parents' two staffies, Cash and Mauzer, the lab.
The cupcakes I made were suited for dogs and humans. Cash stuffed himself with two, but still wanted more. It was fun.
Next year, June will be one in February (on Valentine's day) and since Cash's birthday is on the 24th of January, I will throw them a party together. I am also thinking of having a picnic in the local dog park, with loads of munchies for the dogs and ourselves. It should be lots of fun.
I never thought I would hold birthday parties for my dogs, but it just seems wrong not to. Anyway, I want their next birthday party to be big. Can't wait.
