The first couple of days Bella would only drink a little bit of water from a SMALL bowl held by one of us. Except by the 3rd night I could hear her quickly drink from the small bowl but NEVER during the day. We also gave her water soaked dry food mixed with wet food. That and time seemed to do the trick. Now she eats and drinks like a horse. We leave food and water out 24/7 just next to the whelping box. Good Luck!
