Unhappy Slight fever and lethargy -- when to see vet?

Hi all! I'm new here but have enjoyed reading the threads.

My little pup Freddie (1 yr 2 months old) has a slight fever and has been lethargic for a couple of days. He also had no appetite on the first day (but on the other hand, he's never been a big eater). But last night and today, he seems to be improving a bit. He ate quite a bit last night and this morning, and his fever seems slightly lower but he still feels warm. He even played a little this morning (yesterday he didn't want to play or walk).

Other possible symptoms: he vomited twice yesterday morning, but only a little, and this is something he often does when he has treats on an empty stomach (so I think it was my fault for giving him treats!). He hasn't pooped in over 24 hours, but again this is not unusual when he's eating like a bird. He *may* have been peeing more than usual, but I'm really not sure about that -- he uses wee-wee pads, so it's not easy to tell whether he's peeing more often.

Anybody experienced something similar? How long do I wait before taking him to the vet? Obviously I don't want to endanger him, but since he's feeling better today, I'm inclined to wait one more day. All advice appreciated!
