I have heard several times that humping is done to show dominance in the pack, not sure how true this is. I do know that my dominant female does not hump either me or my hubby but she does get on top of the other pets around us and I am sure it is about dominance with her. We just correct her to get her off from them and she is on her way. Sorry if this sounds way off base... lol
