I have used one (not my favorite idea, but just telling her to stop, etc. does not work). Anyway, I put it on her and then got the broom out. She went into her barking frenzy and all the collar did was make it worse. Maybe she thought the broom was spraying her? And now she really does have a reason to be scared of it... I don't think they are inhumane but, in my opinion, it's not a good training method in most cases...
