I don't know if this is what you're looking for but...I used to make "gravy" for my puppy by adding a small amount of warm water to her kibbles. It moistens them, softens them, and makes it smell stronger which they like. My puppy and my Mom's dogs have always loved this. Plus it's much cheaper!
