I agree, most handlers do not give free lessons. There are some handlers that will occasionally hold handling classes. Your best bet would be to contact a local breed club and see of there is someone giving conformation classes.

There is a lot of hard work that goes into socialization and growing coat before a handler takes a dog. I know many owners will show the dogs themselves and get all the single points and turn the dog over to a handler for the majors. A dog has to win two majors of 3 points or more to complete their championship and in some areas majors are hard to find so you just about have to send your dog with a handler or plan on doing a lot of traveling. The majors are determined by the number of dogs entered and some areas take more dogs than in other areas to get a major. It take 15 points for a dog to become a champion.

There are some handlers that will take your dog at ringside but they don't usually do that unless your dog is already well trained.
