Not to get off topic, but I do want to clarify one thing... Pit Bulls do not have locking jaws. They have a very strong bite force (PSI) but they are not locking it's just a common misconception. I have raised Pit Bulls and know even the sweetest can harbor animal aggression, though usually naturally occuring people aggression is uncommon with them. An attack is of course what I would fear most from any loose dog particularly big dog, regardless of breed, and believe all dogs should be leashed or fenced at all times. Not just for the safety of others, but for theirs as well so they aren't hit by a car, run away/get lost, etc.
