I would say go there and see what you think.

The one thing I like about this breeder is she is not trying to breed for the tiny ones that sell for more and could be less healthy.

I agree with Bianca that you do have to be careful but I know for a fact you don't have to pay $2000-$3500 for a nice puppy. You are right, you are looking for a pet and not a show dog and no one looking for a show dog would pay that either. They would wait until they found one a bit older that a breeder would pretty much guarantee show quality. ( pups go through too many changes)

You will know if she is for you or not but remember all the red flags and a website can surely make things look wonderful.
