This makes me so sad...yet, I met 2 people this week who bought dogs from out-of-state on the Internet and the dogs are most likely from puppy mills. One woman talked to me and other dog owners in the park before buying a dog from Oregon for $1,000.00. It was obvious that the Oregon woman was pushing her to buy the dog and was using lots of tricks ("I have another buyer lined up so you'd better act fast"..."Just one litter in my home"...."has all medical records") but of course, she asked no questions about where the dog would be raised, etc...She just wanted the money. After talking to us, she said she wouldn't get the dog but I saw her in the park with it. She'd been told that the dog was house-trained, but of course it isn't and she never bothered to learn how!!!! I'm sure she won't be able to "return" the dog or contact the woman now if there are health issues.

This type of thoughtless behavior encourages puppy mill breeders to continue their despicable practice. I was sickened when I saw her with the dog. Despite being educated, she still got the dog and just doesn't understand the big part of the problem is people like her!!!! AUURGH!!!!!
