Latte is sometimes like Louie. She usually leaves about a third of her food in her plate in the evening. She had a lot of teeth pulled years ago and seems to be more comfortable eating off her rug by her dish. Sometimes when I want to coax her to eat more, I put a little pile of Rice Krispies next to her plate. They are so bland I know they can't hurt her, and she usually eats her food when she's done with the Krispies! Another tip-I have always heard that a dog will not allow itself to starve. My husband would kill me if I could only get her to eat out of my hand. He hates it when she eats something in the living room!! |
