 Update
I'm back home on my wii remote so please forgive my typos... Jake is back home with us but again, for the night only. The vet wants him back tomorrow for the day again on the IV fluids. Are you ready for this though? He is showing remarkable improvement!!! Still pretty weak and tired but is actually in my lap right now licking his paws!!! He still is not allowed any water or food and I feel horrible about this! He keeps licking his lips like he is sooo thirsty! We are just grateful that he is alive!! We both saw the light go out of his eyes yesterday morning and it scared us half to death because we have both seen that look before...but THANKFULLY he is getting stronger everyday. This is also a new vet for us and we are very impressed. Jake has certainly stolen his heart! Thanks again for all of your kind words, thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. It seems I've been on the “reader's side" for so long...one always fears and can never imagine being on “this side". YT is the best!!! |
